Dear Art Community Members,
The Hunt County Public Art Foundation in concert with Keep Greenville Beautiful 501 (c) (3) will be conducting “A HeART for the Arts Gala & Auction” at Landon Winery on Saturday, February 8, 2014 starting at 6:30 pm.The purpose of the annual Gala is to raise money for a public mural to be constructed in Downtown Greenville in 2014 and to promote and construct future public art within Greenville and Hunt County. Artists are asked to submit heart-themed auction items for the cause. Although individuals and businesses may submit any auction items they wish, artists are encouraged to produce original heart-themed works to be auctioned. The hearts theme is open to interpretation and may include all mediums and sizes including jewelry, photography, sculpture, pottery, ceramics, poetry, paintings, 3D art and more.
All original heart-themed art for the auction should include on 3” X 5” index cards the artist’s name, contact information and a brief interpretation of their art (or) resume. The Hunt County Public Art Foundation may utilize copies of the submission and/or information to further public art and promote artists for our region.
Deadline to submit auction items and art is 4:30 pm Thursday, February 6, 2014. Please drop off all items at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce located at 2713 Stonewall Street, Greenville, TX 75401.
